Fish together

Fishing crews and club tournaments

Start a trip and invite your crew with a link or a QR code: the boat shares one timeline and one catch log that only the crew can see. Clubs run their own tournaments in the app, with catch-photo-release entries, organiser review and a live leaderboard.

Club tournaments, run in the app

Tournaments are free and live inside your club’s group. HuntGrid takes no entry fees and handles no prizes: those stay with the organiser.

  • Your rules

Score by total length, heaviest bag, biggest fish or number of fish, with culling.

  • Catch, photo, release

Entries are taken with the in-app camera only, with the day’s code word to show on the board. They save even with no signal.

  • Checks on every entry

The photo’s time is checked, entries from outside the tournament area are refused, and a possible duplicate photo is flagged.

  • Organiser review

Flagged entries come first. The organiser zooms into the photo and verifies or rejects it with a reason; anglers see their entry’s status.

  • Live leaderboard

The standings update live for every member of the group.

  • Results

Export the results as a spreadsheet (CSV) or a PDF. A public results page only if the organiser turns it on, and it never shows where fish were caught.

Crews

One boat, one log

A crew is a small group for the people in your boat. Make one from the trip start sheet and invite with a link or a QR code.

  • The crew shares the trip’s timeline and one catch log for the boat.
  • Share your live location with the crew when you turn it on.
  • Only the crew sees the crew’s catches. Your own spots and log stay private unless you share them.
  • Groups work in HuntGrid Hunt too, so a hunting club can fish together without new invites.
  • Share a spot with your crew exactly, roughly or by the water only: your choice.

Tournament checks catch common mistakes and tricks, but no app can prove every entry: the organiser always has the final word.

Questions

Still have a question? Read the HuntGrid Fishing help pages or email support@huntgrid.net.

Does it cost anything to run a tournament?

No. Club tournaments are free in HuntGrid Fishing. The app doesn’t take entry fees or pay prizes; anything like that is up to the organiser, under the contest rules where they live.

What is a CPR tournament?

Catch, photo, release: anglers lay the fish on a measuring board, take its photo in the app with the day’s code word showing, and let it go. The organiser checks the entries.

Can the app stop cheating?

It helps: in-app camera only, the day’s code word, a check of the photo’s time, entries from outside the tournament area refused, and possible duplicate photos flagged. These are checks, not proof: the organiser reviews entries and has the final word.

Who can see where we caught our fish?

Public results pages never show where fish were caught. The crew’s catches are seen only by the crew, and your own spots stay private unless you share them.
