HuntGrid Offroad

Free trail map that shows where your machine is allowed to ride

From official data, with the source on every trail. Official maps and posted signs control. Pick your machine and the date you ride; the map shows which roads and trails are open to it.

Built for riders, from official maps

HuntGrid Offroad is in open beta and coverage is growing. What’s here works today; more is on the way.

  • Can I ride here?

Pick your machine and the map colours each road and trail by what its official source says for it: open, seasonal, closed or unknown. Tap one for the rule, the dates and the source.

  • Today, this weekend or any date

Seasonal routes change through the year. Set the map to the day you ride and the colours follow that date.

  • Your garage

Save your ATV, side-by-side, dirt bike, 4x4 or snowmobile with its width. Switch machines with one tap and the map redraws for it.

  • Ride Mode

Big buttons for gloves and handlebars, a screen that stays on, and a warning when you leave the routes open to your machine. No ads, ever.

  • Free offline maps

Download as many areas as your phone holds, free. The map, the route colours and search keep working with no signal.

  • Routing with voice cues

Plan a ride on official routes open to your machine on the day you ride, then follow it with voice cues in English or French.

Questions

Still have a question? Read the HuntGrid Offroad help pages or email support@huntgrid.net.

Is HuntGrid Offroad really free?

Yes. Everything on this page is in the free plan, with no credit card. HuntGrid Offroad is in open beta: anyone can use it while we keep building. There are never ads on the map or in Ride Mode.

Does it work with no cell signal?

Yes. Download the areas you ride before you go, as many as your phone holds. With no signal the map, the route colours for your machine and search still work, and your ride syncs when you’re back in range.

Where does the data come from, and what does “Unverified source” mean?

From official sources: the US Forest Service’s Motor Vehicle Use Maps, Bureau of Land Management travel routes, and the open trail and road data of a growing list of states and provinces. Every trail names its source and date. Coverage is partial: where no official source covers a route, the card says Unknown rather than guessing. A source marked “Unverified source” is shown greyed, because its terms don’t yet let us use it fully: check locally.

Is a green line a promise?

No. It’s what the official data says for your machine on that date. Official maps and posted signs control, and closures can happen at any time.

Can I use my HuntGrid account?

Yes. HuntGrid Hunt and HuntGrid Offroad share one free account: sign in to offroad.huntgrid.net with the same email and password or passkey, on every device.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, and on computers. It’s a web app: open offroad.huntgrid.net, then on iPhone choose Share and Add to Home Screen in Safari, or on Android choose Install app in Chrome. It isn’t in the App Store or Google Play yet.

Is HuntGrid Offroad available in French?

Yes. The whole app is available in English and Canadian French. Voir la page en français.
