Why was I asked to sign in again?

HuntGrid is growing. Alongside hunting, we’re building apps for fishing, backcountry trips, offroading, climbing and more, and your account now works in all of them with one sign-in. To switch everyone over, we signed everyone out once on October 16, 2026. Your maps and everything else in your account are still there.

What changed

Until October 16, 2026, your sign-in worked only on app.huntgrid.net. Now one sign-in covers every HuntGrid app, on addresses ending in huntgrid.net. To make the switch, we had to:

  • sign everyone out once, on every device;
  • remove the passkeys made for app.huntgrid.net, because a passkey only works on the address it was made for. A new passkey works in every HuntGrid app.

Nothing else changed. Your maps, pins, tracks, groups and settings are all still there. Anything a device saved offline and hadn’t uploaded yet is still on that device, and it uploads once you sign in.

Sign in again

  1. Open app.huntgrid.net (or the HuntGrid app on your home screen).
  2. Sign in the way you did before: your email and password, or the same Google, Apple or Facebook button.
  3. That’s it. You sign in once on each device and browser you use.

If you used a passkey

Passkeys made before October 16, 2026 don’t work any more, so add yours again. It only takes a moment.

  • You also have a password (or you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook): sign in with it. HuntGrid then reminds you that passkeys were reset. Choose Add a passkey, or go to Me → Account & security → Passkeys at any time.
  • You only ever used a passkey: you don’t have a password yet, so we emailed you a link to choose one. No email? Use Forgot password? with the same email address. Once you’re in, add a new passkey.
  • Your old passkey may still be in your phone’s or browser’s password manager, under app.huntgrid.net. It won’t work any more, so you can delete it.

If you forgot your password

  1. On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email address of your account and send the request.
  3. If an account exists for that address, we email you a link to choose a new password. It works for a limited time: if it has expired, ask for a new one.
  4. No email after a few minutes? Look in your spam or junk folder, and check that you typed the address of your account.

If HuntGrid asks you for a new password

If you sign in with a password, HuntGrid asks you once to choose a new one for all its apps (“HuntGrid is growing”). Choose Set a new password, or Remind me in 7 days to be asked again in a week. Your current password keeps working until you change it.

One sign-in for every HuntGrid app

Sign in once and you’re signed in to every HuntGrid app in that browser. Signing out signs you out of all of them, so nobody else can use your account on a shared computer. Your account, plan and settings are the same in every app.

Is that email really from HuntGrid?

The email about choosing a password only links to addresses ending in huntgrid.net. We never ask for your password by email. If you’re not sure, don’t click: go to app.huntgrid.net yourself and use Forgot password?

Still stuck?

Email support@huntgrid.net from the address on your account, and we’ll help you get back in.

Questions

Still have a question? Read the help pages or email support@huntgrid.net.

Did I lose my maps or pins?

No. Everything in your account is still there. Sign in again and it syncs as before.

Do I need a separate account for each HuntGrid app?

No. One free account works in every HuntGrid app, with the same email and password or passkey.

Why do I have to add my passkey again?

A passkey only works on the web address it was made for. The old ones were made for app.huntgrid.net; a new one works in every HuntGrid app.

Why did signing out of one app sign me out of the other?

One sign-in covers every HuntGrid app in your browser, so signing out does too. That way nobody else can use your account on a shared computer.
