Washington hunting map

Plan your Washington hunt on one map: public land, hunting units, wind, weather and legal light, on your phone and computer, and offline where there's no signal.

What HuntGrid shows in Washington

  • Public land

Public land from the USGS Protected Areas Database (PAD-US), such as national forests, BLM land, state forests and wildlife areas, with who manages each, plus national wildlife refuge hunt units and access easements.

  • Hunting units

HuntGrid shows deer and elk areas, goose areas and more on the map, and you can download a whole unit for offline use. Game Management Units (GMUs) aren't on the map yet: we only add an official layer once its licence allows it.

  • Access programs

Private Lands Hunting Access properties are on the map, so you can find private land opened to hunters under the program's own rules.

  • Seasons and legal light

A season calendar from Washington's official dates, shown once a person has checked them against the regulations, plus legal shooting hours with a countdown where the rule is checked. Solunar table for Washington.

  • Wind, scent and weather

Hourly wind and a scent cone for every stand, a daily hunt score, radar, official weather alerts and wildfire smoke.

  • Offline maps

Download the parts of Washington you hunt and use the map, your pins and the forecast with no signal.
